But sometimes a book gets it wrong — they post odds that are higher than the true probability warrants. That is a positive EV (Expected Value) bet.
It does not guarantee you win that individual bet. But if you consistently find and place bets where the odds are in your favour, the math works out in your favour over time. Think of it like a casino — they do not win every hand, but they win enough because the edge is always on their side. EV betting puts that edge on your side instead.
We use Pinnacle as our benchmark. Pinnacle is the sharpest sportsbook in the world — they accept high limits, never restrict winning players, and their lines reflect the most accurate probabilities available. Their odds are as close to true probability as you can get.
Every book builds a margin (vig) into their odds. We strip the vig from Pinnacle’s lines to get the pure fair value probability for each outcome.
We compare every Ontario sportsbook’s odds against Pinnacle’s fair value. When a book offers significantly better odds than fair value, that is an EV opportunity.
The moment an edge exceeds your threshold, you get a Telegram alert with the odds, the edge percentage, your suggested stake, and a direct link to place the bet.

Your EV alerts are not a generic feed. Every alert is calculated specifically for you based on your dashboard settings — your minimum edge threshold, your preferred sports, your variance tolerance, and your staking method. Two ArbEdge subscribers can receive completely different alerts from the same opportunity depending on their settings.
Unlike our automated arbitrage and EV alerts, CFL middles are built manually. We track line movement across an expanded set of sportsbooks — including some outside our standard automated data feed — to find middle opportunities that are worth flagging.
Because this is a manual process, alerts aren't instant and don't follow a fixed schedule. You'll receive a chart whenever a notable opportunity is found — this could be several times during an active CFL week, or none during a quiet stretch.
